The Samsung Convoy 2 for Verizon Wireless is designed with your lifestyle in mind. Whether at work or play, you go full throttle, full-time. Meeting rigid military specifications for solar radiation, sand, dust, and shock resistance, the Convoy 2 cuts to the chase without cutting design corners. Samsung and Verizon Wireless have announced the successor to the rugged Convoy from 2009. The Convoy 2 retains the original's tough demeanor, while upgrading a number of its features.
The Convoy 2 meets Military Specification 810F for shock, low pressure, low and high temperature, solar radiation, humidity, vibration, sand, and dust exposure. It features Verizon's push-to-talk feature, and it has dual microphones with noise cancelling technology for use in loud environments. There are also stereo speakers for blasting out the foreman's directions, or the latest tunes. It is equipped with Verizon's Mobile Email app that supports text and picture attachments, and it offers integration with Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. An HTML web browser and VZ Navigator round out the software features. The Convoy 2 sports an upgraded 3.2 megapixel camera with a flash, and there is a microSD card slot with support for cards up to 32GB in capacity.
